“A” Series
This product is very unique to the activated carbon industry and exclusively available through Carbon Resources. It is a coal based, low density, high activity, relatively low ash that has low water solubles and very good hardness attributes. With an approximate density of 20-23 pounds per cubic foot, it is about 3/4 the weight of a bituminous coal and therefore on a volume fill basis, much less carbon is needed. It has a very good pore size distribution of macro, meso and micro pores, which lends it to work extremely well in adsorbing heavy molecular weight compounds and color, while also having a very good capacity for lighter weight compounds. It is a superior replacement for lignite based activated carbons. This product meets ANSI/AWWA standards. ANSI/NSF 61 certified product available upon request.

“B” Series
This product is bituminous coal based. It has high activity in the micropore and meso pore range, good hardness, low dust, and no floaters. This product meets ANSI/AWWA standards. ANSI/NSF 61 certified product available upon request.

“C” Series
Our “C” product is made from coconut shell and is produced to achieve a carbon tetrachloride activity (CTC) range of 45% to 95%. The Highly microporous pore structure makes this activated carbon work well to adsorb low molecular weight organics and volatile organic chemicals (VOC). It also has a high hardness, very low ash content less than 3% and low water soluble ash. This product meets ANSI/AWWA standards. ANSI/NSF 42 and ANSI/NSF 61 certified product available upon request.

“F” Series
This is a rayon based activated carbon fiber (ACF) that has extremely high surface area (in some cases greater than 2000 BET). It has a very uniform pore structure (80% of pores sizes ranging from 1.0-2.0nm) and has good adsorption kinetics. It is chemically stable and has a high coefficient of electronic and thermal conductivity. This makes it easily regenerated and because it is a fabric it can be easily formed to fit any design.

“I” Series
The “I” series covers our line of polyurethane, polypropylene and cellulose impregnated activated carbon media. The carbon content can range from 30-60% by weight. With the cellulose grade, we produce layers of corrugation and/or netting to customized lengths and widths.“L” Series:n Lignite carbon with high molasses number is excellent for applications where color removal is important such as amine/glycol service, dry cleaning cartridges, wastewater, and fine chemical production.
-
“N” Series
The Natural Char product is an aged bone activated char that lends itself to adsorb heavy metals, fluorides, and iron. It is an excellent replacement for activated aluminia.
-
“P” Series
The "P" series consists of a sperical polymeric based material. This synthetic based product as advantages over traditional natural based activated carbons due to their unique uniform shape; high abrasion resistance and crush strength; ultra purity; strong hydrophobic properties and low pressure drop. In addition, these products can be tailor made with respect to pore size and pore volume. Sperical shapes can range from 0.05-0.70 mm diameters in both polydispersed and monodispersed particle size distributions. We are exclusive distributors for Blucher in North America.

“W” Series
The “W“ series is our wood base products that are chemically activated. The granular and powder-wood base product tends to be soft and therefore has a low density. The pellet products are very hard and durable. All have good macropore structure and good micropore structure. The granular and powder products are typically used to remove color bodies and other high molecular weight organics. The pellet products are typically used in vapor phase applications.
All products are tested under ASTM Protocol for activated carbon and most meet or exceed ANSI/AWWA, FDA Food Codex and ANSI/NSF certifications. Some of these products can be acid washed, water washed, pulverized or impregnated to meet specific customer specifications. All products are backed by Technical Support provided by a Management Team with over 80 years in the activated carbon industry.
