Our unique line of formed activated carbon products are different than standard loose granular, powder or pellet activated carbon media. Most of our products are custom made with a combination of activated carbon granules, powder and/or rayon fiber which can be laminated to a spun bonded, melt blown material or other carriers that can be pleated; have permeable structure. These products can be thermally bonded or needle punched depending upon customers requirements.
ACF series

ACF (Activated Carbon Fiber) series is made from a rayon precursor by a high-temperature carbonization and proprietary activation process and is 100% activated.  It is highly micro porous and lends itself well to air phase adsorption applications as well as some water phase applications.  Total surface areas of up to 2000 BET can be achieved with this material.  It is available in various thicknesses/weights and widths and lengths and exhibits the following properties:

  • It can adsorb both organic and non-organic gases
  • Quick adsorption/desorption kinetics (2-3 times granular activated carbons)
  • Easily regenerated with low temperatures
  • Acid and Alkali-proof
  • Good electrical conductivity and chemical stability
CIP Series

CIP (Carbon Impregnated Polyurethane) series is made from a foam media utilizing 35-50% by weight coconut shell, coal or wood base powder activated carbon imbedded into the foam by a dry proprietary process.  It is available in various thicknesses, weights, dimensions, foam porosities and can even be custom shaped and hole punched and exhibits some of the following properties:
