Carbon Resources offers a wide range of services to augment our product line

Isotherm Prediction Models

In order to determine activated carbons effectiveness on certain constituents, as a free service to our customers, we will calculate how much carbon we estimate will be needed based upon their site criteria. Although this is a theoretical model, it is the based upon a data base of hundreds of isotherms on various compounds and allows our customers to determine if carbon would be an effective treatment alternative.

Custom washing, grinding and screening

Our coconut shell plant has been focused on providing customized options for our customers and has spent over one million dollars in the most advanced equipment to grind and screen activated carbon to any size particle. Whether it be 1 micron or 1000 micron particle size, we can effectively control the particle distribution with our laser analytical equipment. In addition, we specially wash the carbon in acid to decrease the amount of water soluble and acid soluble ash.

Custom and standard impregnations

We provide standard impregnations such as silver for bacterial effects, caustic for H2S adsorption, as well as other impregnations that increase the effectiveness of ammonia, mercury, etc. In addition, we work with our customers in creating a custom impregnation specifically designed for their application.

Turnkey product development/consulting

Carbon Resources and their associate companies can assist your company from start to finish with any new activated carbon product line. We can provide in-house testing/consulting, engineer and provide CAD drawings for a filter housing, out-source materials, arrange domestic or international production and oversee project.

In-house local transportation

In order to provide on-time and on-demand deliveries for our local customers, Carbon Resources has their own trucks to service mostly California, Arizona and Nevada customers

Spent carbon disposal service

We can arrange to have your spent carbon custom reactivated or disposed of properly whether it is non-hazardous or RCRA hazardous.

Turnkey carbon change out services

Our technicians will provide on-site service which includes vacuuming of spent carbon via customized vacuum system, replacement of virgin or reactivated carbon, disposal of spent carbon, all materials, labor and transportation.

Technical Seminars

Carbon Resources personnel can come to your facility to provide a power point presentation to your staff that will educate them on activated carbon and it’s uses as well as the handling and design criteria for effective filtration.

Column/batch Testing on and off site

Customers who have decided that activated carbon will be the most effective way to treat their stream and need to get further data in order to size their activated carbon filtration system would require an on-site or off-site column/batch testing. It is also beneficial in determining which base activated carbon will be the most effective for their specific application.or possibly testing various types of activated carbon that work best in their application. Carbon Resources technicians have over 30 years experience in assisting customers with testing.
